At ALBA PS we try and encourage our members to visit as many events as possiible that could provide them with that special image.
The following events have been found in the past to provide good photographic opportunities and also give you a chance to visit different parts of Scotland.

MAY
Saturday 3 / Sunday 4 Scone Palace; Horse Trails 8.00am / 6.00pm.
Saturday 10 / Sunday 11 Balado - Kinross; Steam in the park - Traction engines etc. 10.00am / 4.00 pm.
Sunday 25 Blair Atholl Gathering; 12.30 start
JUNE
*Sunday 1 Visit to Isle of May; Leave from Lornas at 8.00am
Sunday 8 Bothwell Castle; Re-enactment. 12.00 - 4.00pm.
Thursday 12 Lanimers Day - Lanark; Main day of the annual festival.
Thursday 19 / Saturday 22 Royal Highland Show; Daily events covering all aspects of farming.
*Sunday 29 Trip to Bo'ness Steam Railway; Leave from Lornas at 9.30am
JULY
Saturday 19 / Sunday 20 Glasgow River Festival; Events all day.
Saturday 19 Loch Lomond Highland Games; 10.00am - 4.00pm.
Saturday 26 Fort William Highland Games; 10.30am - 4.00pm.
AUGUST
*Saturday 2 Edinburgh Fringe Day; A day out in the capital. Leave from Lornas at 9.10am for train to Edinburgh
Sunday 3 / 25 Edinburgh Fringe; Daily street events and shows at night. Check Fringe web site.
Friday 8 / Sunday 10 Ayr Flower Show;
Monday 11 / Sunday 17 Piping live - Glasgow; Various events throughout the city. Tuesday 12, massed bands in George Square at 11.00am.
Saturday 16 World Pipe Band Championships; Glasgow Green. 8.00am - 6.00pm.
Saturday 16 / Sunday 17 Medievel Re- Enactment - Lanark Racecourse; Two days of life in bygone times. This year, Romans, Vikings and Scottish freedom fighters.
Saturday 16 Glenfinnann Highland Games and Jacobite gathering; 11.00am.
Monday 25 / Tuesday 26 Kirkintilloch Canal Festival; Various events in the town centre.
Thursday 28 / Saturday 30 Cowal Gathering; Starts 8.30 each day.
SEPTEMBER
Saturday 6 Braemar Gathering; The highlight of the Highland Games events with memebers of the Royal family in attendance.
Saturday 13 Leuchers Air Show; 10.00am / 5.00pm. A dream event to capture planes.
