Club Competitions

With our new 2010 season only a month away now is a good time to start organising those wonderful images which you've captured over the summer period for entry into the club's digital image and print competitions.

Our club also needs a good varied selection of digital images to compete successfully in 'match an image' contests with other clubs. In order for this to happen the club has to get those images organised well in advance of the contest dates. The task of choosing which images to compete in the 'match an image' contests is down to our competition secretary Ronnie Inglis with the help of other committee members. This is no easy task when there is not a large pool of images to choose from, so could I urge all members to submit a selection of good quality digital images either on CD, DVD or USB drive within the first couple of weeks of our new season commencing to Ronnie. The more images we have the better chance our club has of winning its league. Details of club leagues can be found on the GDPU web site.

Please ensure when submitting images that they meet the standard size required: 1024 wide x 768 high.

The club's theme print competition for season 2010 / 2011 is: 'RED, GREEN, BLUE'. This is to be three individual photographs (RED being the main theme of the first photo, GREEN the second and BLUE the third) which will be shown and judged together as one.

Check out the 'Competitions' section for submission dates to all our 2010 / 2011 competitions.

Please remember to submit entries on time as this makes everything so much easier for all. Thankyou.
